GMS 7930 - Anatomy and
Physiology for BME (3 credit hours)
PHC 6051 - Biostatistics II (3 credit hours)

course in Biostatistics and two approved courses in the
Biomedical Sciences. Note that no credit will
be given for PHC 6050 Biostatistics I. |

Specialization

selected from one of the four areas of

Medical Imaging
Biomechanics & Biomaterials
Rehabilitation
Engineering
Cardiovascular Engineering
Cellular and Tissue Engineering (including target
drug delivery)

Faculty investigators are also
pursuing other areas of BME-related research. In
addition, it is very likely that new focused areas
of BME research will be defined and pursued in the
future. Courses and potential dissertation research
topics would be associated with these areas as well.
Note: Most (if not all)
of any courses complete as part of the Master's
degree coud be counted towards the courses required
for the Ph.D. degree. |

Dissertation: |

A minimum of 30 credits of
dissertation research are required. As part of the
Ph.D. degree, students must have at least one
publication directly related to he dissertation
research accepted in an appropriate peer reviewed
journal prior to the granting of the degree. |
